Manuel Humberto Perales Sr., 83 years of Alice, Texas passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025.
Manuel was born January 22, 1942 in Ben Bolt, Texas to Delmira Perales and raised by his grandparents Ernesto and Concepcion Perales.
Manuel, known to many as Mr. P, started work as roofer at a young age. He started with Alice Roofing, then Gillespie Roofing, then moved on to Alice, Texas Roofing; eventually then started his legacy known as Perales Roofing. After 64 years in the roofing industry he went on to retire.
Manuel, married to Guadalupe Ybarra Perales, for over 60 years is survived by his four children; Imelda (Lazaro) Rosas of Alice, Texas; Manuel (Marisela) Perales of Alice, Texas; Priscilla (Rey) Bueno of Alice, Texas; and Miguel Angel (Leticia) Perales of Alice, Texas; 14 grandkids, 39 great-grandkids and 3 great great grandkids; 5 brothers George (Diana) Zambrano, Homero (Alva) Zambrano, Tony (Frieda) Zambrano, Rene (Nora) Zambrano and Michael (Alva) Zambrano; 4 sisters Consuelo (Oscar) Hernandez, Rosalinda Gonzalez, Lucy (Oscar) Joslin, and Mary (Joe) Castillo.
He is preceded in death by his wife Guadalupe Ybarra Perales, son Miguel Perales, daughter in law Marisela Gonzalez, brother in laws Oscar Hernandez and Oscar Joslin, and parents Delmira and Gregorio Zambrano.
Manuel, was a very well respected individual not only in the roofing business, but around town as well. He was known for his honesty, the pride and integrity he took in all his work or anything he did. He was not only a loving husband but one of the greatest fathers and grandfathers known. He found joy in his never ending story telling, making trips to Silvas cafe and taking a cruise to the reservoir. He was one of the most simple and humble men you would ever meet. He will be deeply missed but we take comfort in knowing he is at peace with the Lord and the love his life.
A funeral service will be held at the Old Collins Cemetery on Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Josh and Joseph Bueno, Michelle and Nichelle Perales, Mark Rosas, Armando Salazar, Jeffrey Perales Sr. And Manuel Perales IV.
