Cheyenne Perales Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Garnand Funeral Homes - Garden City on Mar. 2, 2026.
Cheyenne Misha Marie Perales, 38, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the family who loved her beyond measure.

Cheyenne was born on July 19, 1987, in Garden City, KS to Kenny and Melaney Sauvain. From the very beginning, she radiated love and joy, touching everyone she met with her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit. Her faith in the Lord guided her life, and she shared that light freely, inspiring all who knew her.

A 2005 graduate of Deerfield High School, Cheyenne pursued her dream of caring for others by studying dental hygiene at Colby Community College, earning her Associate of Applied Science degree in 2012. She dedicated her career to helping others as a dental hygienist with Dr. Krizek in Norton, Kansas, & in 2021 until her passing with Harris Family Dentistry in Garden City, KS, always giving her patients the same care, compassion, and attention, she gave her family and friends.

On July 27, 2013, Cheyenne married her soulmate, Randy Perales. Together, they built a life overflowing with love. In 2016, they welcomed their son, Landry, and in 2020, their daughter, Nixx. Cheyenne poured herself into her children with a boundless heart, guiding them, celebrating them, and loving them fiercely. She cherished every moment watching Landry play sports, cheering from the sidelines, and every twirl and leap of Nixx in gymnastics. Her children were her world, and she lived fully for them every single day.

Cheyenne's love extended far beyond her immediate family. She brought joy, laughter, and encouragement to everyone around her. Friends and family knew her as a light in every room, someone whose positivity and faith were unshakable. She delighted in simple joys - reading a good book, watching her favorite shows and movies, listening to music, basking in the sun, and taking family vacations, with Colorado holding a special place in her heart.

In March 2020, Cheyenne was diagnosed with breast cancer, facing an incredibly difficult battle with strength, courage, and unwavering faith, even while pregnant with Nixx. By October 2025, she celebrated five years cancer-free. When the disease returned in January 2026, Cheyenne met her final challenge with the same bravery, love, and trust in God that defined her life. Through it all, her faith never wavered, and her heart never stopped giving.

Cheyenne loved with everything she had - fully, deeply, and without reservation. Her devotion to her family, her friends, and her Lord was the truest reflection of who she was. To know Cheyenne was to experience love at its purest form. Her legacy of joy, faith, laughter, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Randy Perales; her children, Landry and Nixx; her mother, Melaney Sauvain (Kent Thornton); her father, Kenny Sauvain (Lisa Sauvain); her sister, Keyanna Kinnier (Cody Kinnier); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Anna Jacob and Audrey Kats, and her grandfather, John Kats.

Public viewing will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Bible Christian Church with Minister Jon Geurin officiating, with burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery.

In honor of Cheyenne's greatest love - her children - memorial contributions may be made to Randy Perales, designated for Landry and Nixx's college funds in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be shared at www.garnandfuneralhomes.com
