Manuel Anthony Ribeiro
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle
The long journey has ended, and he is finally at peace. Born to Felipe C and Mary G Ribeiro on November 6, 1940. He grew up on the family dairy farm where he worked most of his life. He attended St. Aloysius Catholic School and graduated Tulare Union in 1959. He participated in FFA where he was President his senior year and was a Redskins football player. Manuel loved traveling with his friends and family. With that dry sense of humor, he made us all laugh, especially being "blessed by the Pope three times". A great man with so many attributes, he was so easy to like. Always kind, speaking nice about everyone he met. After one of his trips to Europe, he came home to an anniversary party where he was reunited with his sister-in-law's little sister, Diane Cabral. It was a world wind romance, being married three months later and lasting 54 years. His greatest joy was his family. He has two daughters Suzanne Montgomery (Tim Irving) and Nichole Marlin and husband Rick. Together they have given him five grandchildren: Jordan, Spencer (Rachael), Nohelle, Rayce (Judith) and Nicholas. He welcomed one more addition, Mekhi and was blessed with his first great-granddaughter, Blake. His last big vacation was a family Alaskan cruise when he joined his grandchildren singing "Sweet Caroline" karaoke style. Manuel was the greatest papa any child could ever want. Thank you, Manuel, for giving me the greatest gift, our family. I will love you always. D
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Philip and niece Kathleen Keer. He leaves his sister Mary Ann Laber. An expression of gratitude and thanks to Dr. Havard and his staff at Kaweah Health Cancer Center for their seven years of quality care. A special thank you to American Care Hospice for the love and care they provided him these last few months. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in his name to St Aloysius Catholic School.
