Manuel Leal Valadao

Manuel Leal Valadao was born on February 1, 1937, in Terceira, Azores. He passed away on December 15, 2025, in Hanford, California.
He immigrated to the United States from Terceira, Azores, Portugal, on January 23, 1969, at the age of 31, and made his home in California.
Manuel was a devoted brother and uncle.

He is survived by his sisters, Elsa Linhares of Hanford, California; Maria Annunciacao Monteiro and Irene Mendonca of Fontinhas, Terceira; his brothers, Dimas Valadao and his wife Maria Eugenia Valadao of Tulare, California, and Eduardo Valadao and his wife Maria Fatima Valadao of Hanford, California; his sister-in-law, Eulalia Valadao of Fontinhas, Terceira; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joao Leal Valadao and Maria do Carmo Monteiro; his sister, Maria Fatima Avila; his brother, Joao Leal Valadao; his brother-in-laws, Francisco Linhares, Valdemar Marques Avila, Manuel Mendonca and Osvaldo Avila; his nephew, Arnold Avila; and his great-niece, Rita Valadao.

Manuel will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025. A Rosary and Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church, located at 1001 N. Douty Street, Hanford, California.
Burial will follow immediately after the Mass at Tulare Public Cemetery District, 900 E. Kern Avenue, Tulare, California.
