LOWELL - Marcel J. Brulé, age 92, a longtime resident of Lowell and former resident of Westford died Friday, July 12, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Catherine M. (Coan) Brulé, to whom he was married for 68 years. 

He was born in Westford on February 9, 1932, and was a son of the late Edmund and Eva (Lamy) Brulé. He was educated in Westford schools and was a graduate of “The” Westford Academy, class of 1950. 

Marcel was employed for many years by King’s Department Store and Wang Laboratories, which he retired from.

Marcel was a lifetime member of The Franco American Club of Westford, MA. He was an avid duckpin bowler and New England sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes, cribbage, watching horse racing and NASCAR. His greatest joy however, was spending summer time with his loving family at their family camp on Webster Lake in Franklin, NH. 

Marcel is survived by his four children, Diane Valliere and her husband Charles of Goodland, FL, Gail Brodeur and her husband Lucien of Lowell, MA, Ronald Brulé and his wife Karen of Andover, NH and Leonard Brulé and his wife Tania of Dracut, MA; eight grandchildren, Barry Brodeur and his wife Nicole, Randy Brodeur and his wife Renee, Katie Brodeur, Cory Brodeur and his wife Nicole, Ashley Forkum and her husband Adrien, Amanda Murphy and her husband Skylar, Jared Brulé and Kaleigh Brulé; nine great grandchildren, Lilly, Lucien, Raymond, Aiden, Kai, Autumn, Desmond, Connor and Hannah; a brother, Sylvio Brulé and his wife Kathy of Shirley, MA; a sister-in-law, Paula Labbe and her husband Donald of Woburn, MA; a brother-in-law, Ralph Dionne of Nashua, NH; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was also the brother of the late Roger Brulé, Larry Brulé, Raymond Brulé and Monique Brulé.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Marcel’s Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Wednesday, July 24th from 4:00 until 7:00pm followed by his Funeral Service at 7:00pm at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Marcel’s memory to the Lowell Humane Society, 951 Broadway St., Lowell, MA 01854.
