Marcella A. "Marcy" Benoist, of Saint Peters, MO, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Norvell Benoist for 62 years; devoted mother of Laura (Mike) Mueller, Janet Snyder, Jeff (Celeste) Benoist, Ken (Rose) Benoist, Teresa Benoist, Linda (Mark) Grobelny and Tina (Kevin) Murphy; cherished grandmother of Sarah (Donny) Buehler, Ryan Mueller, Christine Mueller, Monica (Adam Jackson) Snyder, Julie Wolk, Neil Snyder, Ellen Snyder, Everett Snyder, Vincent Benoist, Claire Benoist, Angela Benoist, Rebecca (Matt) Close, Peter Benoist, Tommy Benoist, Kyle Murphy and Brendan (Destiny Little) Murphy and treasured great-grandmother of Damian Close, Zoey Wolk, Malcolm Wolk, Clara Jackson, Jane Jackson, Calvin Jackson and soon to be born Ruby Rose Jackson, Davina and Sabrina Murphy; dear sister-in-law of Nancy (the late Ken) Benoist, Judy (Russ) Dippold, Jeanne Wehner and Margie (Len) Daiber; dear family friend of Rita and Bob Lefebvre and Bob and Mary Ann Peniston; beloved aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Marcy is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Margaret Scheve; infant daughter, Mary Benoist; three sisters, Rita (Vince) Campana, Mary (Bill) Probst and Patricia (Bruce) Gardiner; three brothers, Herman (Monica) Scheve, Frank (Detta) Scheve and Al (June) Scheve; two brothers-in-law, Joe (Linda) Benoist and Steve Benoist.
Marcy was a member of Sts Joachim & Ann Catholic Church and JASS Club of Sts Joachim & Ann. She was a faithful volunteer at her church's CARE Service Food Pantry. She was also a regular along with her church friends at Mario's every Tuesday morning for breakfast.
Marcy enjoyed playing Kings in The Corner and Canasta. She loved listening to music and dancing. Marcy's favorite holiday was Christmas. She loved her family and prayed for them daily. It was important to her that she shared her Faith and passed it on to her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile, her laughter and her larger-than-life personality. Marcy was quoted in an interview, "It's only a thin veil between us and our loved ones on the other side of Heaven." Marcy's goodbye was always "May God Bless You and Keep You." Marcella was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In Lieu of Flowers, Catholic Masses preferred, or memorials may be made in Marcy's name to Sts. Joachim & Ann CARE Service.
