Marcella Hudson Obituary
She was born in Monticello, Kentucky on January 15, 1947 to Henry Clay Marcum and Flora May (Winchester) Marcum. Her parents preceded her in death.
Marcella married the love of her life, Johnny Arnold Hudson on March 27, 1964 in Eaton. They renewed their vows on their 50th Wedding Anniversary with their grandson Pastor Tim Hall officiating the ceremony.
She retired from Sinclair Glass in 2007.
Marcella belonged to the Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle Church, where she served faithfully and cherished her relationship with Jesus above all else.
She was known for her kindness and warmth, finding her greatest joy in motherhood. Marcella also dedicated herself to her grandchildren, treasuring every moment with her family. Her welcoming smile made everyone feel instantly at home.
Marcella also enjoyed reading and had a passion for gardening and planting flowers.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of almost 62 years, Johnny A. Hudson Sr. of Hartford City; children, Drema G. (husband, Tim) Hall of Hartford City; Heidi D. (husband, Robert) Blakley of Hartford City; Johnny A. (Wife, Kim) Hudson Jr. of Hartford City; Amy C. (husband, Shaun) West of Hartford City; Lora M. Miller of Hartford City; grandchildren, Timothy (wife, Jamie) Hall, Heather Hall (life Partner, Sean Cronin), Betty Blakley (companion, Teddy Hall), Rachelle (husband, Reece) Cook, Misti Hudson, Desiree (husband, Brandon) Boyd; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Gibson, Penelope, Colin, Whitley, Skye, Adalee, Camdin, Jackson, Anastasia, Kayson and Bristol; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Whitney Blakley and infant twins, Justin Clay Hudson and John Curtis Hudson; siblings, Paul Eugene Marcum, Christeen Williams, Betty Elizabeth Bowman, Mary H. Marcum, Douglas Marcum and Ronnie K. Marcum.
Funeral service will be at 1 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Full Gospel Lighthouse Tabernacle Church, 468 East Washington St., Dunkirk with Pastor Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Hartford City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the church.
Keplinger Funeral Home in Hartford City is in charge of arrangements.
