Preston, Marcella Jane- Age 66, of Swartz Creek, died January 25, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Linden. Visitation will be held 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Thursday, January 29, 2026, as well as Friday, January 30, 2026 from 1-8pm, there will be visitation on Saturday from 11:00 am until time of the service.
Marcella was born November 9, 1959 in Linden, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Patricia (Butz) Dusenbery. She was one of thirteen children.
She was a beacon of light and laughter, she touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness. Marcella retired from Swartz Creek Community Schools, she poured her heart into the students, loving them like her own. Her impact on all who knew her will be felt for generations. Marcella was the absolute best mother, grandmother, loyal wife and friend. She couldn’t be compared.

She will be forever loved and missed. Marcella is survived by her loving husband Robert Preston; three cherished daughters and step-son Sarah Simpson, Holly Lawrence and husband Eric, Jaime Blood and husband Bryan, Brian Preston and wife Rachel; thirteen adoring grandchildren; her beloved siblings; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Cory Joseph Srnek II, as well as her granddaughter, parents and several siblings.
