Marcella “Marci” Ann Samuelson, age 82, of Mankato and formerly from St. James, died Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.
Memorial service will be held at 11am, Friday, August 8, 2025 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato with visitation starting at 9:30am. Burial will follow at West Sveadahl Cemetery in St. James. Please share a memory of Marci with her family, view her video tribute, and watch her service livestreamed at www.mankatomortuary.com.

Marcella was born May 2, 1943 in Mountain Lake to Uko and Clara (Henze) Junker. She graduated from Comfrey High School in 1961 and later attended cosmetology school. She worked as a hairdresser for a number of years before becoming a full-time homemaker. She later returned to the workforce as a CNA for 13 years at Pleasant View Memory Care.
Marci was united in marriage to Delbert Samuelson on April 10, 1971 at the West Sveadahl Lutheran Church in St. James. They were former members of West Sveadahl Lutheran Church and Augustana Lutheran Church before moving to Mankato in 2016.
Marci enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, baking, playing cards, dancing, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Delbert Samuelson; daughters, Lisa Braulick and Renee (Terry) Thurmer; step-sons, Troy (Gwen) and Tracy (Kim) Samuelson; grandchildren, Shannon (Lucas), Joshua (Cyndia), Joseph, Jeremiah (Nicole), Ashley, and Annika (Sean); great-grandchildren, Cadence, Jacie, Landyn, Liam and one on the way; brothers, Norman (Monica) and Delwin (Evelyn) Junker; and sister, Donna Sandbo.
Marci was preceded in death by her parents, Uko and Clara Junker; and brother, Stanley Junker.
