Marcella Louise Weygandt

Marcella Louise Johnson Weygandt of Sunset Beach passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 95. Marcy was born November 27, 1929 in Marquette, Michigan. At age 14, she moved with her family to Detroit, where she later met and married Al Weygandt in 1951. They lived there for 45 years until retiring in Hot Springs Village, AR. After the passing of Al in 2014, Marcy moved to Sunset Beach, NC to be near her daughter Pam.
Marcy fully embraced her new life in Sunset Beach, participating in Garden Club, Book Club, Brunswick Seniors, and playing cards with friends. Her card prowess perhaps continues even now, as she consistently beats Big Al at cribbage.
Marcy is survived by two daughters, Pam Fisher and Lynda Palma, and respective son-in-laws Jeff Chamberlin and Gene Palma; also her grandchildren: Ryan Fisher, Lauren Fisher, Jeremy Redd, and Lyndsay Udall. Marcy has six great grandsons, one of whom she is now enjoying in their heavenly home and regaling with lots of fun family stories.
Marcy's family and friends take such great comfort in picturing her grand reunion with those she so dearly loved in life. Undoubtedly, her fun-loving spirit continues to bring joy and laughter to all those within her sphere of influence.
