Marcelline Mary Borsch

Marcelline "Marcie" Borsch, age 93, of Munhall, PA, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. Born in Homestead, PA, Marcie was a lifelong resident and proud member of the Munhall community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, James and Nora (Shea) O'Brien; her aunt, Mary (Dee) Shea; uncles, John and Ed Shea; as well as her brother, Dr. James O'Brien.
A devoted member of St. Therese of Lisieux Church for over 60 years, Marcie was active in parish life and a dedicated member of the Ladies of Charity, faithfully serving her church and community.
Marcie graduated from Munhall High School in 1950 and always took great pride in her roots. She had a deep love for the music of the 1940s and 1950s, often dancing along to her favorite tunes, and she enjoyed listening to classic old-time radio mysteries.
Marcie dedicated over 35 years of her life to serving others at the Homestead Park Methodist Senior Citizen Residence. Her commitment and compassion left a lasting impact, and she was honored for her outstanding community work and contributions upon her retirement.
She is survived by her loving sons, John (Elva) Borsch of Mesa, AZ, Daniel (Paula) Borsch of Munhall, PA, and James (Won) Borsch of Ponder, TX. Marcie was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren, Danielle (Nick) Dressler, John (Michelle) Borsch, Matthew Borsch, Michael (Kaitlyn) Borsch, Nicholas (Addie) Borsch, and Andrew (Carrie) Borsch. Marcie had four great-grandchildren, Carina Bernardo, Cameron and Carly Reed, and Sophia Mitchell. She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews from the O'Brien and Karichko families, as well as a close network of friends and relatives.
Marcie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, deep love for her family, her humor and steadfast dedication to her community. Her legacy lives on through those who loved her and were touched by her kindness.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, August 8, 2-4 & 6-8 PM, at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 9, 10 AM, at the St. Therese of Lisieux Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Interment will follow at St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery, Munhall.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Marcie Borsch to Caring Hospice, located at 118 Fox Plan Road, Monroeville, PA 15146. This gesture is made in heartfelt gratitude for the professional care and daily compassion provided by the hospice team.
A special thank you goes to Jen ("Wheezy") and all those who lovingly cared for Marcie throughout her medical journey. Your presence brought comfort, dignity, and peace during some of the most difficult moments.
There are so many other individuals the family would like to recognize-friends, caregivers, neighbors, and medical professionals-each of whom played a meaningful role in Marcie's life. Though too numerous to name individually, please know that your kindness, support, and love have left a lasting impact and will never be forgotten.
