Marcello Matus Obituary
Marcello Matus 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on the Pascua Yaqui Reservation January 6th, 2026.
Mars was born in Phoenix in 1967 to Dolores Valenzuela, and Manuel Matus Sr. Marcello was inquisitive, and adventurous man who liked to travel. Throughout his life, he was able to travel to multiple states. Marcello was a well-educated man who studied everything from Astronomy to Trigonometry. He was a musician who liked playing the guitar. Marcello was an artist and loved to draw and make jewelry. Marcello loved hanging out with his friends and singing karaoke.Marcello had a great love for all his grandchildren
Mars was preceded in death by Manuel Matus Sr, Dolores Valenzula, Sylvia Medina and is survived by his brother Mario Matus, his sister Rebecca Matus and his three children Titus Matus, Justine Matus, Manuel Matus, Amelia Matus, and his four grandchildren Marissa Matus, Naryssa Matus, Xavier Matus, and Malcom Matus.
Viewing will be on Friday, February 6th at Santa Lucia Yaqui Tempe 5:30PM-8:00AM, and Marcello will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 7th at Santa Lucia Pascua Yaqui Temple 8:00AM. Burial will be at the Guadalupe Cemetery 9:00AM
