Marcelo Veloria Mislang

Marcelo Veloria Mislang, of Benicia, CA passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at age 77. Marcelo was born on June 5, 1945 in Labrador, Pangasinan, Philippines, to the late Theodoro & Lurgia Mislang.
In 1970, Marcelo graduated as Mechanical Engineer at Mapua University, the premier engineering and technological school of the Philippines. He was an instructor at Feati University, and worked as an engineer at NAWASA, Water Works, both in Manila. He worked at several Petro Refineries like Kuwait, Oil Company for more than 25 years.
Marcelo was a believer in "First Love Never Dies". In 2001, he came to the United States and married his first love, Norma Pagaspas Agan, and has lived in Benicia since. Marcelo was a homebody, loved the simple life and loved to listen to music, watch TV with his favorites being the news and dramas, and to eat to his heart's content. He used to be a Eucharist Minister with his wife at St. Dominic Church, Benicia. He loved and had so much faith in the Lord, he prayed the rosary each day. One of his favorite trips was to Jerusalem, where he and his wife joined the tour to Israel organized by St. Dominic Church.
Marcelo was a beloved, ideal, and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his daughters, Marjorie (Canada), Marianne (Manila), Vanessa (Switzerland), and Grace (Canada). His Step-children with Norma; Andrew Agan (Dixon, CA), Abigail Agan Adel (Vacaville, CA) and Ricca Cecilia Castanon (Tracy, CA). He has a total of six grandchildren. He will be missed, may he rest in peace with the Lord.
