Worcester: Marcia J. (Borek) Atchue, 71, of Cambridge Street died Sunday, July 30 in UMass Medical Center after an illness.
She leaves her husband Herbert Atchue, two daughters; Nicole Faubert of Worcester and Michelle Atchue of Hudson, a sister Sharon Gardner and her husband Andrew Ledogar, three grandchildren; Emery Faubert and Mea Jean & Emma Louise Blais and two nephews and a niece. She was predeceased by a daughter Candace Jean Atchue.
Marcia was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter Borek and Lois M. (Urbach) Ahaesy. She worked for many years in the human resource departmant of local banks before retiring. She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed bowling, going to the beach and having a good lobster dinner. She was happiest when spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She was an avid reader.
A celebration of Marcia's life will be held on Saturday, August 19th at 2:00 PM at Point Breeze Restaurant, 114 Point Breeze Road, Webster. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester is directing funeral arrangements.
