Donald Richard Atchue, 86, of Gardner, died peacefully Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, after an illness.

Born in Worcester, on January 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Lawrence Atchue and Helena (Lacava) Nordstrom. Donald was a furniture sprayer for S. Bent Bros Co. for many years before his retirement in 1998. He was previously employed by several other furniture companies in Gardner.

Donald was a parishioner of Annunciation Parish of Gardner, practicing at its Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He enjoyed his daily walks around Gardner, and spending time with his friends at the Binnall House. He enjoyed dancing with his late partner Gorden Ambrose and watching the Patriots and Red Sox.

Donald is survived by three brothers, Kenneth Atchue, Albert Atchue, and David Nordstrom; three sisters, Barbara Gagne, Sandra Witkes, and Janet Dipadua; thirteen nieces and nephews, and five cousins.

He was predeceased by two brothers Lawrence and Dennis Atchue, and his partner Gordon Ambrose.

Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
