Marcia Ann Tidwell Jarrett, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, departed this life peacefully on August 23, 2025, at the age of 77. Her life was defined by devotion, determination, compassion, and faith.
Born in Payson, Utah, on February 15, 1948, Marcia quickly became a source of kindness and love for all who knew her. She had a gift for nurturing and guiding others, often taking the time to teach, encourage, and instill strong values. Her steadfast support made her a trusted confidante and a lifelong friend.
Marcia lived a life of service, rooted in her faith as a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Family was her greatest joy. She dedicated herself fully to their happiness and well-being and found immense joy in their companionship.
She expressed her creativity through reading and sewing. She enjoyed the tranquility of cleaning, organizing, and decorating her home. Marcia loved flowers, spending time outdoors, and the simple pleasures of life-whether enjoying playful games with her grandchildren, outings with her husband, Mike, or indulging in a bowl of chocolate ice cream. She delighted in laughter shared with friends and the long, heartfelt phone calls that kept her close to her loved ones.
Her gentle spirit was reflected in the small things she loved-watching the Hallmark Channel, caring for animals, and cherishing the companionship of her cat, Sassy, who will continue to keep her place warm on the bed until they are reunited.
Marcia is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her children, Rick (Joyce) Jarrett, Tina (Steve) Smith, Rod (Shiloh) Jarrett, and Randy (Melissa) Jarrett; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild-all of whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Letha Tidwell; her eight older siblings; her beloved daughters, Teresa Scott and Terry Jarrett; and her grandson, Jake Smith. Though her absence leaves a deep ache, her influence and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A viewing will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel, 865 West 1000 North, Orem, Utah. A second viewing will be held Friday, September 5, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the same location.
As we gather to honor Marcia's life, may we celebrate her remarkable legacy of love, faith, and dedication-a legacy that will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
