LOUDONVILLE - Marcia Breslin Mahoney, 83, of Albany, N.Y., was born into Eternal Life at St. Peter's Hospital, on July 13, after a recent illness. She was the daughter of Marsh W. Breslin and Mary G. Breslin and wife of Robert W. Mahoney, for 52 years.
She was born in Albany, N.Y., on November 18, 1940. A proud graduate of Vincentian Institute, Albany, N.Y., and Russell Sage College, Troy, N.Y., where she majored in Education and spent most of her career teaching at Albany High School and in the Albany City School system.
Marcia is survived by her three children, Maureen Mahoney, Rockville Centre, N.Y.; and her husband Walter Josiah, Robert Mahoney, Albany, N.Y., and his wife, Ruth and Bridget Fenn, Atlanta, Ga., and her husband, George Fenn. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Katherine, Margaret, Patrick, Ian and Abby. Marcia is survived by her siblings, Mark and Andrea Breslin, Michael Breslin (Diane), Neil and Ellen Breslin, Maddie Ogniewski (Charles), Tom and Judith Breslin.
Her greatest joys in life were her three children, five grandchildren and extended family and friends. Marcia loved to cook and bake and enjoyed spending time with her lifelong friends from Vincentian Institute and retired teacher friends. Marcia was a dedicated volunteer her entire life and gave her time and treasure through volunteerism and board leadership at LaSalle School for Boys and Hope House. She was recognized by both for her dedication and service over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marcia's family on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at McVeigh Funeral Home, 208 North Allen Street, Albany, N.Y. 12206. Please enter the funeral home from the rear parking lot entrance only.
Funeral services Friday, July 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, N.Y. 12211, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the medical staff who cared for Marcia over the past few years and in particular the staff at Peregrine Senior Living Nursing home.
