Marcia Seslar Obituary

Marcia "M" Seslar

Marcia "M"

Seslar, 85,

crossed over to a better place on Saturday, February 4, 2023. Born in Moscow, ID, she was known by many names - Lady M, The Sales Lady, The Lady Who Walks by the Mountains, and simply Friend. You, dear reader, may not have known her, but you likely saw her walking the streets of Albuquerque pushing her cart filled with items she hoped you would buy. These were things like small tubes of toothpaste and often samples of her unique handmade arts and crafts.

An impressive six feet tall, she wore a large straw hat topped with artificial flowers and on some days some live ones. Marcia shared little about herself. For many years even her name, but if you and she became acquainted discussions of myriad topics could easily fill an hour as you and she sat on your front porch. Topics likely were her memories of playing basketball

and softball as a young girl; current day prep football in Albuquerque; Bobby Santiago, the original UNM Lobo football great and a dear friend; and the general state of the world. Only very cautiously did Marcia share information about herself, but when she did so it was impressive. A true patriot, she spoke with pride about her time as a member of the Marine Reserves. The training it provided helped Marcia to survive several traumatic life events.

A Graveside Celebration of Marcia's life will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.

Sounds like she was a wonderful, intelligent, strong and interesting woman... too bad we never crossed paths. May she rest in eternal peace. Prayers from Oregon.
