Marcus H. Dasher

Marcus H. Dasher, 87, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, in Gurnee, IL. He was born July 5, 1938, in Lake Bluff, IL, and had been a lifelong resident of Libertyville, IL.

Marcus was employed at Titus Brothers appliance repair shop as a teenager and gained the knowledge of the business to open his own business called, "Mick's Appliance Repair" for many years. Mick was a consummate fix-it man. With his stable of tools he kept everything in their home in tip-top shape and created custom gizmos that made life a little better and safer. He was generous with his handyman knowledge and skills, helping family, friends and neighbors in their times of need.

He will be remembered for telling stories and jokes to all he encountered. While he was a dedicated Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan, he enjoyed spending time with his family most of all.

Surviving are his 3 children, Brenda Fritsch, Brian (Debby) Dasher & Debra (Randy) Hulteen; 7 grandchildren, Brandon, Valerie, Jolene (Gabriel), Christa, Brett, Anthony, and Andrew (Courtney); and by a sister, Betty Pagliai.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce in 2024; and by his sisters, Phyllis Ackley, Marilyn Priebe & Patricia Dove and a brother, Carl.

A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, at Burnett-Dane Funeral Home, 120 W. Park Ave. in Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
