Marcus Lee Jackson

Marcus Lee Jackson, 61, passed away on October 22,2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born December 22, 1962 to Marion and Liesolotta (Lankat) Jackson in Frankfurt, Germany. He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1981 and married Bobbi Jo Jackson on February 12, 1988 a year to the day from when they had met.
Marcus had a long career as a machinist and loved working every day. When he was not working, he was a hunter, fisher, mechanic, and of course the infamous race car driver "Mad dog", "Action Jackson" or "Catfish". He was known and loved by many and I mean many, there was never anywhere he would go that he did not know or make a friend. He was full of jokes that he thought was the funniest jokes of all time even after the 20th time he told it. If he wasn't busy with one of those, he would be at his favorite "lunch spot" with his best friends. More than anything else he loved his family; he couldn't go a night without his wife of 37 years without missing her and calling her all night wanting her home. He was always there when his children needed them even if he didn't want to be there (and he would make sure you would know) but he was there. If he didn't get to see his grandson for more than a few days he would call and tell him to come over. He was a wonderful man and Jack of all trades who loved everyone around him. He will be dearly missed by all who had the chance to meet the infamous Marcus Jackson.
Marcus was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbi; son, Chris Jackson; daughter, Blake Jackson and her fiancé Shane Mcquade; brother, Bruce Jackson and wife Paula; mother-in-law, Cheryl; grandson, Brantley Morrison; and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany, OK.
