Gary Lee Harmon

Gary Lee Harmon, 67, of Bethany, OK, passed peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his home on January 21, 2026.

He was born in Trinidad on September 1, 1958 to Wesley and Modelle Harmon while his parents were Nazarene missionaries. When he was in high school they moved back to Bethany, OK where he lived the rest of his life. He graduated from Putnam City West High School.

Gary started his own fence company in his late 20s and continued to work up until a few days before he passed. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years which included jet skis, weight lifting, motorcycles, bike riding, learning to play the drums, and archery. He was also an avid OKC Thunder fan. Every weekend you could find him eating lunch at Caribbean Fusion where he could have authentic Trini dishes. He attended Bethany First Church of Nazarene where he was proud to be a greeter.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Modelle Harmon and his sister, Deborah Gandy.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachael Harmon; brother, James Harmon and his wife Georgean; niece, Tiffinee Harmon and her husband Randy; and niece, Brittinee Ballinger-Holland, her husband Paul, and their children, Graham, Dristan, Toril, and Takoa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Bethany First Church of the Nazarene in Gary's memory.

A celebration of life service will take place Thursday January 29, 2026, at 2pm. The service will be held in the Chapel in the Round at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed on this obituary page.
