Sharon Lee Harmon, age 81, of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born on August 1, 1944, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Sharon spent her early years in Atlanta and graduated from Greeneville High School in 1962. She was a former Miss Johnson City, attended East Tennessee State University, and was a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Sharon was a devoted homemaker who deeply loved her family and found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments.
Earlier in life, Sharon enjoyed traveling, especially to the Colorado mountains and Edisto beach, and she had a special love for painting, particularly watercolors. In later years, she quietly faced personal struggles with depression, which led her to live a more private life. Through it all, she remained deeply loved and cherished by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Oletha Springer.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 61 years, Charles Harmon; her children, Jeff Harmon (Lisa), Christy Coffey (Travis), and Lisa Reed (Sean); seven grandchildren; her brother, Michael Springer; her sister, Marsha Jordan; her sister-in-law, Carol Anderson (Bruce); and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A private memorial service will be held at Colonial Heights United Methodist Church at a later date.
