Bernard Douglas “Doug” Littrell, age 83, passed away on March 14, 2026. He was born on March 31, 1942.

Doug was the kind of person that, if you knew him, you loved him. His natural charm and warm personality captured hearts right away, and anyone who met him quickly knew they had made a friend.

Doug loved his sports car and his passion for NFL football was truly unmatched. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. He was truly a people person who brought joy to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Ann Littrell; his siblings, Clint Littrell, Audrey Springen, Rita Stanton, and Odell Littrell.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving and adoring wife of 45 years, Kay; the sunshine of his life, his daughter, Tammy Frye (Duane); his grandchildren, Julie Parks (Gerald) and Derek Frye (Kim); his great-grandsons, Jack, Bryce, Brantley, and Henry; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Blountville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lyons Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park.
