Marcus Christopher LeMay Jr. of Matherville, Illinois was born September 14, 2014, in San Diego, California to Kayla Viager & Marcus Christopher LeMay Sr. He departed this life on May 5, 2025, in Iowa City, Iowa with a host of family by his side.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Friday May 16, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Private funeral services to follow.
Junior never met a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went. He loved just about every sport but had a deep love for soccer and baseball - always “repping” the #12. He loved to play PS5 with his dad, hunt with his grandpa, taunt his uncles in an attempt to start a wrestling match, go on outings with his mom, and hang with his nana.
Marcus Jr., always known as Junior, is preceded in death by his uncle, Elijah Daniel LeMay & great-grandfather, Roger Wayne Viager.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Kayla Lee Viager; father, Marcus (Mackenzie) Christopher LeMay Sr; sister, Myra Jean LeMay; grandfathers, Shane Lee Viager & Daniel Haywood LeMay Jr; grandmothers, Tonya Flemons & Michelle Lee Viager; great-grandmothers, Carol Viager, Carolyn Jean Gant-Johnson, Debra Bruning & Jan Britton; great-grandfathers, Don Alan Britton & Daniel Haywood LeMay Sr; aunts, Danielle Nicole LeMay, Marlesha Ann LeMay & Tranetta Lafaith LeMay; uncles, Ke’Shawn Haywood LeMay, Cole (Rhianna) Allen Viager, Daniel Haywood LeMay III & Trey’Lon LeMay; and numerous great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.
His smile was contagious, his spirit was pure, and his mark was left on all that he encountered.
