Marcus Lovell Whitley, age 41, tragically passed away on October 2, 2024. Born on September 17, 1983, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was the beloved son of Walker Sr. Watson and Paula Whitley.
Marcus is survived by his loving siblings: Walker Jr., Max, Pauline, Ashley, and Wjtisha. He was the proud father of seven children: Kavon, Drake, Debari, Yanelliz, Damonie, Anilah, and Amina. He also cherished his six nephews and four nieces: Nastasia, Nevaeh, Keylin, Walker III, Zaydriana, Thomas Jr, Avery, Tahiry, Jasper and Max Jr. Like they were his own.
He is preceded in death by both his loving grandmothers Juanita Bowers and Laura Whitley.
Known for his infectious laughter and loving spirit, Marcus brought joy to every gathering. He had a unique ability to make everyone smile and laugh. He wasn’t the best dancer but would dance like nobody was watching. His protective nature and deep love for those close to him will be profoundly missed. A passionate athlete, Marcus loved playing sports, especially basketball, and took pride in believing that his athletic skills were passed down to the children in his life. Known for his quick wit, he could always lighten the mood with a joke, making everyone feel at ease. Fearless and steadfast, Marcus never shied away from a challenge and always stood his ground.
In this time of sorrow, we ask that you keep Marcus and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His legacy of love and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
