Mardell Smith Hogan, age 80, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. She was preceded in death by father, Levi Smith; mother, Lula Mae Samples Smith; daughter, Penny Marie Wright; brothers, Noah Smith, Johnny Smith, Franklin Smith. Mrs. Hogan is survived by sons, Donald Wright of Cumming, GA and Joseph (Rachel) Hogan of Commerce, GA; grandchildren, Missie Peak Still, Kristi Wright Nunn, Michael Peak, Tyler Hogan, Bryce Hogan, Ashley Hogan; great-grandchildren, Abbie Dobbs, Kelsey Peak, Emily Peak, Dolly Jean Dobbs; sister, Joan Smith of Flowery Branch; sister-in-law, Pam Reed Smith of Dahlonega, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mrs. Hogan was born on August 20, 1945. She retired from Peachtree Doors after fifteen years of service, and was a member of Peoples Baptist Church in Flowery Branch.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Helton officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens.
