Mardella Marie Johnston, age 72, of Columbia, Missouri, went home to the Lord on January 31, 2024, at her home.
Mardella was born on December 3, 1951, in Macon, Missouri, to Marvin and Leona (Mills) Wiggins. She graduated from Bevier High School. She spent several years as a homemaker then later accepted a position at Toast Master in Macon, Missouri, where she worked for more than 20 years.
She enjoyed gardening, spending time with nieces and nephews and caring for her elderly clients. Her family will always remember her for the beautiful flower gardens surrounding her home and her love of all thing’s bling.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Leona Wiggins and the love of her life, Greg Lee.
Mardella is survived by her sisters, Kandi Million and husband Jimmy of Moberly, MO and Leta Albright and special friend Bill Toledo of Wichita, KS; lifelong friend, Sherry Harrington of Bevier, MO; her “brother from another mother” Craig Lee Watts of Wichita, KS; nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews and many friends.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Heritage Baptist Church, Moberly, MO, followed by a service beginning at 4:00 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions could be sent to the Humane Society in Columbia, MO, in Mardella Johnston’s memory.
