Margaret Margie L. (Wilk) Abrams 78, unexpectedly passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center on Friday, February 27, 2026. She was born in
Westfield, MA on September 27, 1947, to the late Edwin and Stella (Osowski) Wilk. She graduated from Westfield High School in 1965. During her younger years she was employed by Kellogg Brush Manufacturing Company (produced various brushes) in
Westfield, MA and
Easthampton, MA. She later held jobs at Fipco (Fuel Injection Products Company) in
West Springfield, MA, Enfield Roller World (popular roller skating rink and special event facility) in
Enfield, CT and her final and favorite job before retiring early (due to injury) was at Eastern Electric Lighting Supply in
West Springfield, MA and continued to work with them when they relocated to
Springfield, MA. She made very strong friendships wherever she worked. She cherished moments with family, especially with her son Jason who became her caretaker, and the beloved pets they shared throughout the years which were considered grandchildren, most recently including the late rabbits named Stella, Miracle, Mischief and Blessing, and a cat named Cady (her baby Her cooking and baking skills were extraordinary. She was practically famous for her baking, especially various kinds of cookies, that even celebrities like legendary singers Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick, jazz duo Tuck & Patti and rapper Smooth Bee (Nice & Smooth) would put in requests for. She also enjoyed adult coloring, collecting cook books and recipes, and watching movies and television shows. She also loved flowers and plants and snuggling with stuffies. Her son Jason loaded her bed with stuffies. She gave consideration to each one. Margie will be dearly missed by her loving children, Jason Abrams of CT and Brian Alvarez and his wife Lisa of Georgia, ex daughter-in-law Loriann Gulluni (who still called her Mom of MA, her surviving sister Alicia Haluch of Massachusetts, sister-in-law Beverly Adelson of New York, and her grandchildren Alex Alvarez of Massachusetts, Kalea Alvarez and her fiance Mark of Florida, Jordan Frederick and his partner Samantha Clevenger of Rhode Island, Zan Frederick and his wife Ashley of Florida, Sawyer Frederick and his wife Michelle of Florida, four great grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Arthur D. Abrams, parents Stella and Edwin Wilk and sister Roberta O Connor. A visiting hour the morning of her funeral will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 9AM till 10 am at Firtion Adams Funeral Home, 76 Broad Street,
Westfield, MA. Her Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30AM in Holy Trinity Church, 335 Elm St.,
Westfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, 203 Southampton Road,
