Mrs. Margaret Jean Bell was born August 21, 1945 in Baker, Florida to Early R. Jackson, Sr. and Mary L. Jackson entered into eternal rest Thursday July 24, 2025, at West Florida Hospital (VITAS Healthcare Hospice Unit).

Jean joined Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her passing. During her time at Lebanon, she served as an Usher and was President of the Usher Board until she was no longer able to do because of her health.

Jean married Charlie Bell on June 6, 1965, and to this union four children were born. She followed Charlie for twenty-two years during his Air Force career. They finally retired and returned to Crestview in December 1986. Jean was employed by Okaloosa County School District and worked at Crestview High School in the lunchroom for twenty-two years. She retired in 2010. Jean was an extraordinary cook, and she loved to bake.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents: Early and Mary Jackson, Sr.; three brothers: Maxie Jackson, Arthur Jackson, and Clyde Jackson.

Jean is survived by her Husband: Charlie Bell, Sr.; Children: Phillip Bell of Oahu, Hawaii, Shelane R. Bell, Charlie (Stephanie) Bell, Jr., Clarence (Adneise) Bell all of Crestview, Florida; Seven grandchildren and Two great-grandchildren; Sisters: Mary Davis, Katherine (Luie) Crawford both of Milton, Florida and Sylvia Nell Hendrix of Crestview, Florida; Brothers Early Jackson, Roosevelt Jackson both of Crestview, Florida and Leonard (Carol) Jackson of Windsor, North Carolina; Sister-in-law: Tonya Jackson of Crestview, Florida. Jean was blessed with a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
