Funeral services for Margaret Virginia Boothe, 89, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the Pentecostals of the Twin Cities, 1255 Glenwood Dr., West Monroe, Louisiana with Pastor Jason Ramsey and Bro. Larry Hickman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, Louisiana, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, Louisiana.

Virginia was born on February 20, 1934, in Clarks, Louisiana and passed away peacefully on October 12, 2023, in West Monroe, Louisiana. Her favorite way of showing love was to make food for people, and she cooked well into her 80’s. She was a homemaker at heart and a true servant of Jesus. Her faith in God and her love for family were strong and evident in how she lived her life.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daryl Boothe; daughter, Pam Martin; parents, Rev. Elmer and Mrs. Annie Douglas; brother, Eual Douglas; and sisters, Janell Castle and Marjorie Cox.

 

She is survived by her daughters, Phyllis Staggs and husband, Gary, Patricia Leach, and Paula Guess and her husband, Kevin; son-in-law, Rick Martin, three grandchildren, Daryl McNeil, Jessica Leach, Jana Whitman and her husband, Adam; great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Catherine Whitman; brother, Boyd Douglas and wife, Dee Dee; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Carol Kerrigan who fixed Virginia’s hair for 40 years and to the nurses and workers of Savannah Grand of West Monroe.

 

Pallbearers will be Rod Douglas, Junior Douglas, Mike Cox, Heath Long, Randy Lagrone, and Wayne Whitman.
