Beverly Boothe Obituary

Boothe, Beverly A., passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026. Beverly was born on January 12, 1935 in Pueblo, CO. She earned the Curved Bar Award (the Girl Scouts' highest award), was Salutatorian of her high school class, and also earned a nursing scholarship to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she met her husband of 62 years, Al, who passed away in 2017. Beverly interrupted her studies to begin raising a family; however, eventually went back to Nursing School in her 30's, with 4 children at home (including a toddler). She had a long nursing career as an RN and was instrumental in starting a Cardiac Rehab Center at a hospital in Richmond, VA, where she worked for over 20 years. She loved a good romance novel, was an avid bridge player, and loved the jokes her cardiac rehabbers would tell her. Beverly was the "rock" of the family, keeping everything together over the years. She was a loving wife and caring mother, ensuring the family always came first. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Al, her parents, Theodore and Margaret Glasscoe, her siblings, Ted, Earl, and Lenora, and her granddaughter, Toni Eddleton. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Brenda (Lee), David (Marta), Doug (Debbie), and Bob (Cathy), her sister, Lula, her four grandchildren, Stacy, Kendall, Alexa, and Lauren and her four great grandchildren, Hamilton IV, Athena, Teddy, and Leyla. The family plans to have a private Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations on behalf of Beverly Boothe be made to the VCU School of the Arts, Toni Eddleton Endowment Fund., P.O. Box 842519, Richmond, Va. 23284.
