Margaret Mary Breen (née Zanoff), resident of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on March 7, 2024, at the age of 75. Margaret was a woman who truly lived her faith, was known for her generosity, thoughtfulness, and her strength of spirit. She enjoyed sharing her time, passions, and talents with countless family and friends in her community and church.

Visitation for Margaret will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main St), with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM.  A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church of North Little Rock (6150 Remount Rd), followed by interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Margaret was born on October 28, 1948, and was one of six children born to her late parents, Leo and Ann (Wilk) Zanoff, in their hometown of Marche, Arkansas.  She took great pride in her Polish heritage and always cherished memories of the traditions of her close-knit community of Marche.

Margaret met the love of her life James “Jim” Breen, and they married on June 28, 1986.  Jim sadly left this world too soon, but Margaret’s family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her soulmate in heaven.

A member at St. Anne Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of North Little Rock, Margaret was a lifelong devout Catholic with her faith always central in her life.

Margaret had many interests and passions, including being a devoted Arkansas Razorbacks fan, and to say she was an avid gardener and loved flowers is an understatement. A certified Master Gardener, she delighted in all things green and blooming, but even more so, sharing them with friends and loved ones near and far.

Among her many acts of charity and service, Margaret would lovingly create flower arrangements and deliver them to nursing home residents.  She was a volunteer at The Helping Hand of Little Rock food pantry as well as the Immaculate Conception Altar Society, and was a member of the Junior League of North Little Rock.  She was a vigilant athletic booster for more than 33 years at Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys, the alma mater of both of her sons.

Margaret once expressed that she felt her greatest legacy would undoubtedly be her beloved sons, Jarrod Kincaid and David Breen. She is also survived by her two grandsons, Liam and Owen Kincaid, and her daughters-in-law, Denise Kincaid and Mackenzie Breen. Her siblings and their spouses include Marcella (late husband Charles) Nofziger, Kasia (Tom) Williams, Michael (Jan) Zanoff, Bridget (Craig) Majkowski, and Becky Zanoff-Woods.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Leo Zanoff, her husband, Jim Breen, and her ex-husband, Jim Kincaid.
In remembrance of Margaret’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the CARTI Foundation or the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Little Rock.
•    CARTI Foundation: CARTI is a not-for-profit, comprehensive cancer center with donations going directly toward benefiting patients and their care.
