Margaret I. Bretz

Margaret I. Bretz, 97, of Slatington, died peacefully Friday November 28, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Bretz. Born in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Gossy) Solderitch.
After high school, Margaret graduated from the Allentown School of Nursing. She worked as an LPN for many years, retiring as a supervisor from Green Meadows Assisted Living in Allentown. Margaret was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Slatington and a member of the Young at Hearts Club of Northampton. Margaret was a den mother for Cub Scouts Tropp 157 of Neffs.
Above all she was a loving wife and mother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivng are her sons Phillip Bretz and wife Deanna, Paul Bretz and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother and sisters.
Her viewing will be from 9-10am Friday December 5, 2025, at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037. Funeral services will be officiated by Father Eric Arnout at 10am Friday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Whitehall.
