Margaret Buff Obituary
Margaret was born on April 8, 1942 in Cleveland County, NC a daughter of the late Eleanor Leonhardt Bess. She was retired as an inspector from Varat Sportswear in Cherryville. Margaret enjoyed canning, especially pickles. Her family always came first and she absolutely adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Johnnie Lee Baxter and a brother, Rudolph Leonhardt.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Roddey Buff, Sr. of the home; two sons, Steve Buff; David and Rhonda Buff; a daughter, Wendy Beam and husband James Russell; a sister, Gail Beam all of Cherryville; five grandchildren, Tyler Buff (Hannah), Hunter Buff (Loren Stroupe), Kacee Buff (Jayce), Addison Beam, Allie Beam (Weston Shuford); four great grandchildren, Jace, Jett, Jax and Wrenley. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:45PM to 2:45PM on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home with her grandson, Tyler Buff officiating.
Burial will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, c/o Cherryville Shrine Club, 124 Harbor Point Drive, Cherryville, NC 28021 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
