Margaret Bull, 86, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 in Fredericksburg, Virginia from the effects of a stroke she suffered in August. She was born to Herbert and Nannie Henson on June 29, 1939 in Lambert, Mississippi. From a young age, she was affectionately known as "Sis" by her parents and sisters, Louise and Bettie. Margaret graduated from Lambert High School in 1957 and immediately married the love of her life, Richard Bull. She began her marriage as an Army wife, which took her many places including North Carolina, Panama, and finally Dale City, Virginia. It was here where Margaret and Richard bought their first home and together raised their three children, Freida, Rick, and Susan. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, Margaret had a long and successful career in sales with Sears and Roebuck. She remained married to her husband Richard until he passed in 2013.
Margaret was known for her warm personality, caring spirit, and unconditional love of her family. She was kind and outgoing, always with a cheerful greeting and an offer to cook you something special. Margaret was a born caregiver and the baby whisperer of the family. During their long marriage, she was devoted to the health and well-being of her beloved husband Richard. Margaret also cherished each and every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The family often laughed that in her eyes, they could do no wrong. She had a true gift for bringing love and comfort to children of all ages.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Bettie Moorman; children Freida Rouse (Jack), Rick Bull, and Susan Roltsch (Al); grandchildren Leann Warden, Charles McGann, Jay McGann, Andrew Roltsch, Darby Roltsch, Chance Bull, Corey Bull, and Parker Bull; as well as many great-grandchildren.
Margaret will be buried at Arlington Cemetery at a future date yet to be determined. A graveside service will be held at that time.
Mom (Granny), we love you dearly and thank you for the many beautiful memories you created for us. May the circle be unbroken.
