Margaret C. (Marge) Carseth, age 88, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, at The Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 23, 1937, Marge lived a life filled with grace, service, and vibrant spirit.

She graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee and attended Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin. A gifted performer, Marge was crowned Miss Milwaukee in 1955 and went on to become Miss Wisconsin 1955–56, earning national recognition as a top finalist in the Miss America Pageant. She was also a professionally trained dancer who performed with the world-renowned Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and toured with the Dorothy Hild Dancers of Chicago.

On September 27, 1958, she married Edwin R. Carseth in Wisconsin, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in love and faith. Together they had one daughter, Suzette Marie, who brought them great joy. Tragically, Suzette passed away at the age of 23 on November 4, 1982. Marge was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Edwin, who passed on April 26, 2009.

Marge's life was marked by a deep commitment to service and community. She was named Kerr County's Outstanding Woman of the Year for 2008–2009 and was active in a wide variety of volunteer and charitable work throughout Wisconsin and Texas. At Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, she served faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister, Scriptural Reader/Lector, Hospitality Greeter, and Rectory Office volunteer, and was a former member of the Arts & Environment Committee. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women for the greater San Antonio Diocese, holding the roles of Secretary and Treasurer from 2005 to 2006.

Beyond her many accomplishments, Marge was known for her zest for life. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling, and brought joy and energy to every endeavor she pursued.

Her legacy of faith, generosity, and elegance lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 19th at 10:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 909 Main Street, Kerrville, Texas. Father Scott Janysek will preside.

Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in Elm Grove, Wisconsin at a later date.

May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved Edwin and Suzette.
