Margaret Rose Davis

Margaret Rose Davis, 86, of West Des Moines, Iowa passed peacefully March 16, 2026. Margaret was born July 29, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky to Hubert and Viola (Haynes) Lane, the youngest of seven children. Margaret married William "Bill" Davis Sr. on February 8, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky. Margaret and Bill lived in Oklahoma for several years prior to moving to Iowa in the 1970's. They had three children, Bill Jr., Andrea and Brenda.

Margaret enjoyed crocheting, reading, mystery shows, spending time family and getting together with people in her neighborhood for book club and crafting. Her favorite color was red and she loved cardinals.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, all of her siblings and many extended family members. She is survived by her children, William (Jolie) Davis Jr., Andrea Speten and Brenda Parrish (Jef Moore) and three granddaughters Sloan Speten, Shane Speten, and Jada Parrish as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Iles Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to Breast Cancer or a charity of your choice.
