MARGARET CLUBB FOWLER

MARGARET CLUBB FOWLER FLORENCE, SC - Margaret Clubb Fowler, 74, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013, in a local hospital. Ms. Fowler was born in Gastonia,NC, a daughter of the late Alfred Lorenzo Clubb and Fannie Ellen Bean Clubb. She was a member of Quinby Baptist Church. Ms. Fowler retired as mail clerk from BB&T/Prime Rate PFC. She was the proud past owner/operator of Fowler Trucking and drove solo for four years. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Fred Kirby Fowler, her son, Jerry Dean Hoffman, Jr. and her step-son, Freddie Dale Fowler. Surviving are her daughters, Lou Ellen (Michael) Baxley, Anne (David) Scurry, and Donda (Bobby) Johnson, all of Florence; her step-children, Norman (Christie) Fowler and Debbie (Buddy) Long, both of Whiteville, NC; six grandchildren; five step-grand-children; eighteen great-grandchildren; her brothers, George Clubb, Sr. of Dallas, NC, John Clubb, Sr. , Floyd Clubb, Sr. and Gene Clubb, all of Gastonia, NC; and her canine companion, Monty. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sat-urday, July 20, 2013, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Nichols, SC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, P. O. Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502.
