Margaret T. Futterer
Margaret "Peggy" T. Futterer (nee Scully)
Age 92, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Senior Star in Romeoville. Peggy was born in Joliet, the daughter of the late Roland E. and Irene V. (nee Woodruff) Scully and was a lifelong resident. She retired from Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home as a nurse's aide and was formerly employed by the "old" St. Joseph Hospital.
Loving mother of Susie (Paul) Loscheider, Nancy (John) Fulara, Jr., Lynda (William) Ford and Patrick (Debra, nee Keigher) Futterer; dearest grandmother of Eric (Molly), Brian (Maritza) and Scott (Emily) Loscheider; Colleen (Michael) Saccotelli, Katie (Matt) Vinge, Christine (David) Medows, and Kerry Fulara (Steve Norak, fiancée); Rebecca (Aaron) Johnson, Jennifer (Brett) Houser; and Zachary Futterer; great-grandmother of Enzo, Graham and Giuliana Saccotelli; Jack Vinge; Chase and Dillon Johnson; Wyatt and Hayden Houser: Lincoln and Owen Loscheider: Vander and Nora Loscheider: and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, Matthew J. Futterer (2011); her parents; and siblings.
A big thank you goes out to Dr. Bhavesh Gandhi and his team for the many years of care for Peg; to Joji Pagalan and the others at Citywide Home Care Services who assisted Peg during the past two years, and Transitions Hospice who helped Peg during her final days.
Visitation for Peggy Futterer will be Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet from 8:30 a.m. until chapel prayers at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Ave., Joliet at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to The Arthritis Foundation would be appreciated.
