Margaret Given Obituary
Margaret A. Given "Peggy", age 99, passed away on July 23, 2024. Peggy was a well know waitress for many years at the Alpine Inn, Log Cabin and Anderson House. Born in Philadelphia she attended and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls, Class of 1943. Peggy witnessed many changes in society over her many years, but always continued to have a smile for everyone she met.
Mother of John A. Given Jr., Dianne Bingham, Janet Massey and Patricia Given. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Peggy is predeceased in death by her husband John A. Given, her daughter Doris P. Given, all of her siblings Joseph Martin, Dolores Nazzaro, Helen McKelvey and Pauline Schmall.
Relatives and friends are invited to Peggy's visitation on Wednesday July 31, 2024 from 9:30am to 10:20am at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am. Interment after Mass at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA.

I just learned today that my dear friend passed away almost three weeks ago. I was very saddened to hear of Peggy's passing but know she is at peace now. I will never forget all the fun times I had in Peggy's company over the years at Sam's Saloon, Romarco's and several other places we used to meet at. What a sweet lady she was and I will always remember her with fond memories. Rest in peace my dear friend. Ann Bruni

I worked at the Polish American Club in Clifton Heights. Peggy used to attend certain functions there. I was always impressed by her amazing dancing skills, especially the jitter bug. Dance in Heaven now, Peggy! God rest your immortal soul!
