To me, Midge was not just a friend, but my loving American mum, who welcomed me into her family 45 years ago when I was a 16-year-old exchange student. Together, we explored art museums in Philadelphia and New York, enjoyed the beaches and waterparks in New Jersey, and discovered the stunning nature spots along the East Coast. Through Midge and her family, I got a beautiful glimpse of American life.
We stayed in touch for all these years, and Midge also became a cherished part of my children´s lives. My son Rasse, who spent a summer with Lisa´s family, especially holds fond memories of his time with Grammy.
Mum-Midge, I am eternally grateful for having met you and for all the ways you were a part of my life. I will miss your laughter, our conversations, and our calls. Your memory will forever remain in my heart here in Finland

Midge was such a wonderful person. She always cared about others and took care of them as her own. She never met a stranger, everyone was family. My condolences to Lisa, Steven, Thomas and Meghan, and the rest of her family.

Aunt Midge was just a delight! I remember her dimpled smile and her melodic laugh that was so contagious. There were many family gatherings when I was young and all the aunts and uncles would be joking, laughing and pranking each other. She was full of love and kindness. Although she is greatly missed she leaves behind a phenomenal legacy of faith and service. I so look forward to our family reunion in Heaven!

I love and miss you Aunt Midge. I can hear your laughter within me. There are untold hours of family get-togethers with so many memories. I remember your upbeat optimism, strength, determinism, and hard work throughout your life.
Steve and Lisa, your mom was a bright light of love in our family. May you find comfort as you remember your precious, loving mom. I'll always treasure her in my own heart.
