Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sisco Funeral Chapel - Springdale on Jan. 1, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Margaret Linnea Hickstein
October 20, 1927 - December 25, 2024
We are so sad to announce on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, Margaret Hall Hickstein, born in Chicago, loving mother of five children, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, passed away at the age of 97 in Springdale, Arkansas.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Signe Hall, husband Robert J. Hickstein Sr., granddaughter, Tracy Brandau, grandson, Daniel Suchowski, son-in-laws Edward Brandau and her grandson-in-law, Thomas Clutter, and sister, Lil Branigan.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Hickstein Jr., Harry Hickstein, three daughters, Marge Brandau, Cheryl Suchowski (Michael) and Barbara Bellanova (Frank), ten grandchildren, Christine Valdez (Anthony), Robert H. Hickstein, Eddie Brandau (Angie), Melissa Eul (Fred), Tiffany Clutter, Josh Brandau, Michaell Suchowski, Jr., (Jen), John Suchowski (Mayra), Peter Bellanova, and Brittany Bellanova, 12 great-grandchildren, Paige, Addison, Asher, Dakota, Brian, Vincent, Signe, Ivan, Aiden, Andrew, Elias, and Maggie.
Margaret was very talented and artistic. She owned, operated and taught lessons in her shop for ceramics and porcelain. She designed many of her pieces and sold her fine porcelain at craft shows until she retired after 50 plus years at 84 years old. She loved sports of all kinds, especially Chicago teams, Da Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks. She loved bowling, gambling, sewing, needlepointing, playing cards, and doing word search books, but mostly spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger. Christmas was her most favorite time of the year. She and her mother would always cook a full Swedish Smorgasbord for her family to enjoy.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Thank you to the entire staff at Edgewood Health and Rehab in Springdale for caring so deeply for Miss Margaret. She has some of her best times with you and the friends she met. She loved you all.
Visitation memorial will be at Sisco Funeral Chapel, 705 W. Meadow Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72764 on Saturday, January 4, 2024 from 10 am - 1 pm.
