Published by Legacy on Sep. 5, 2025.
Margaret L. Hocking, age 90, of Stevens Point, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Margaret was born on December 31, 1934, in Hinsdale, Illinois, to the late Phlauris and Minnie (Hacker) Hocking. She grew up in Westmont, IL. Margaret worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and then later ACE Hardware.

Margaret enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes throughout her life. She loved sewing and creating collages from words and pictures she carefully cut out. She had a special talent for finding treasures, whether while shopping at the dollar store or browsing the aisles of Goodwill. Margaret also enjoyed collecting pretty rocks and loved traveling and sightseeing with her friends and family. She cherished conversations about her family's past, and she had a deep appreciation for saving meaningful keepsakes. Above all, Margaret was known for her sentimental and thoughtful heart, always finding joy in the little things.

Margaret is survived by her brothers, Roy Hocking and Richard (Nancy) Hocking; sister, Linda (Dale) McClarnan; sister-in-law, Cheryl Hocking; nieces and nephews, Rachelle Hocking, Kaci Osenga, Richard Hocking Jr., Lori Cates, Maureen (Scott) McRoberts, Amy (Geoff) Kaster, Phil Hocking, Sam (Tracey) Hocking, Michelle Hocking, Kevin Hocking, Brooke McClarnan, Matthew (Shannon) McClarnan, and Marlene McClarnan; and many great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Plauris and Minnie Hocking; brother, Raymond Hocking, sister-in-law, Dianne Hocking; and niece, Brenda Piltz.

Per Margarets wishes, no funeral services will be held.

As she said in her final words, Margaret leaves us with this message: "Love to all."
