Margaret Hoffer Obituary
December 27, 1950 - September 23, 2025
Margaret "Margie" Hoffer, age 74, of Colfax, N.C., passed away after a brief illness on September 23, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Dolores Hoffer; as well as her brother, John Hoffer, Jr. Margie is survived by sisters, Maureen Reigel (Grant), Stephanie Long (Sam), and Theresa MacKay (Brent); and her many nieces and nephews.
Margie was very passionate about Elvis, the Phillies, the Eagles, and caring for and loving cats. Socializing and talking with her lifelong friends brought her immense joy. Margie also enjoyed watching game shows and was a lifelong soap opera fan.
Margie was employed by the Berks County Association for the Blind for decades prior to moving to North Carolina.
She will be forever loved and always remembered for her sweet kindness and gentle nature.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospice care team for their compassion and support during Margie's last days.
A private family service will be held to honor Margie's life. Your love and support are appreciated during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 6704. Hagerstown, MD 21741) and/or AuthoraCare Hospice/Beacon Place of Greensboro, NC (2504 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405).
