Margaret Louise Williams Kivett, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born in Rockingham County on February 10, 1939 to the late Charlie and Mary Williams and was the wife of 59 years to the late Percy Calvin “Jack” Kivett.
Margaret was a 1957 graduate of Reidsville High School and continued her lengthy career at Western Middle School where she would retire in 2000. She enjoyed gardening, wordsearches and making her famous sweet snack, aka “trash” at Christmas time. She was also an avid Duke Basketball fan and enjoyed watching the NASCAR races. Most of all Margaret loved and cherished time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Randy Kivett; daughter, Lisa Perkinson; grandchildren, Kristy Pickard (Jay), Kristyn Lindley (Austin) and Dustin Saul (Haley); step granddaughter, April Qualls (Justin); great grandchildren, Shayne Pickard, Mayci Pickard, Declan Lindley, Berklynn Lindley, Emmie Saul, Carter Saul, Jackson “Jack” Saul and Gracie Lynn Saul; step great grandchildren, Hannah Qualls, Lainey Qualls and Lincoln Qualls; siblings, Louis Williams, Russell Williams, Jimmy Williams and Evelyn Sladky. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; son, Michael Kivett; siblings, J.P. Wilkins, Roy Williams, John Williams, Gladys Williams, Ann Yacavone, Marvin Williams, Dewey Williams and Curtis Williams.
A graveside service to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 22, 2025 at Alamance Memorial Park conducted by her grandson, Dustin Saul. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:30am prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her residence until 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beacon Place at AuthoraCare Collective, 2502 Summit Avenue in Greensboro, NC 27405 or to the Alzheimer’s Association by visiting www. donorservices.alz.org.
