Margaret Lee "Peg" Kopacz

Margaret Lee Sovia Kopacz, known as Peg, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Born on May 25, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, she lived a full life of 84 years.

Peg was a beloved resident of Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks, where she spent her final years surrounded by a caring community. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff who provided excellent care during the past two years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Kopacz; her sister, Becky Sovia, and her husband, Luey "Cruiser" Midgett; and her parents, Jimmy Walter Sovia and Margaret Mcclusky Ronald Sovia.

Peg is survived by her sister, Pamela Anne Schuler and her husband Nobel, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins, all of whom cherished her dearly.

A private family service will be held at a later date to honor Peg's memory and celebrate her life.
