Margaret E. Kopec

Margaret E. Kopec (nee Glanz), 99, of Des Plaines, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on May 5, 2025. Margaret was born on August 3, 1925, to the late Henry and Margarethe Glanz. She married the late Stanley Kopec on December 19, 1971.

Margaret is survived by her stepdaughters, Janice Pitts and Carlen Gaumann; brother, John Glanz; and stepgrandchildren, Natalie and Nathan. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Stanley; and siblings, Henry (Angeline) Glanz, Charles (Barbara) Glanz, and Katherine (John) Neis. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Friday, May 9, 2025, from 9:30am until 10:30am at G.L Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Church, 794 Pearson Street, Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.
