Margaret Ann Krengle Parsons, 79, known as Peggy, passed away on February 17, 2025, at home in Missouri City, Texas. She was with her loving family, surrounded in prayer, and resting peacefully.
Peggy was born June 3, 1945, in Salina, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Vincent and Dot Laura Quin Krengle, and her husband Richard. She is survived by her brothers Michael (Becky), Clifford, and Patrick (Bernie), and her sister, Jeanette "Jeannie" Moore; her son Steve and wife Michelle, and son Rick; plus, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will also be missed by those who knew her as Grandma: Lauren and Lindsay Parsons, Mya Tyson, Justin Cantu, and Courtney Wyche and husband Curtis.
Peggy graduated Incarnate Word Academy in 1963 with honors, and promptly started a career. She and Richard were married in August 1965, after which she continued professional pursuits and led a long career managing meetings and conferences and traveling extensively.
Peggy volunteered her leadership in Cub Scout Pack 291, in support of sons Steve and Rick. She continued volunteering to serve on the troop committee for Boy Scout Troop 276, while Steve and Rick advanced through Boy Scouts. In retirement, Peggy volunteered for various community organizations, including the Anderson Road Civic Club and St. Laurence Ladies Guild.
In 2023 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The disease rapidly progressed, beginning our long and painful goodbye.
Peggy loved plant cuttings from her mom's garden, particularly things that would attract butterflies. She also enjoyed watching birds in her yard, particularly hummingbirds and her beloved cardinals.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., in Sugar Land, Texas.
All are invited to join the family for a reception following the Mass.
