Obituary of Margaret Krzemien
March 15, 1935 - January 11, 2025
Margaret Krzemien. Age 89 of Ecorse.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph for 53 years. Loving mother of Andrea (late Charles Roy) Krzemien-Roy, Patrick (Nancy) Krzemien, Pamela (late John Gori) Krzemien- Gori, David (Katrina) Krzemien, Gregory (the late Margaret "Maggie") Krzemien, Kathryn (Jack) Barwig and Mary (Roberto) Cruz. Also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In her early years, she worked at Wyandotte Chemicals, now known as BASF. And then for a short time at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Wyandotte as their secretary.
Margaret was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed being involved in the happenings at church. She assisted in the offices, taught Catechism, and volunteered to help with Christmas plays. She was a Eucharistic Minister, sang in the choir, and was a lector. For as long as she could, she played a very active role in her church and enjoyed all of it.
Margaret loved her family. She was there and present for many of her grandchildren's births. She played an integral part or shared a large part in raising those grandchildren, which brought her so much joy. She could tell you the exact number of all of her grands, her great-grands, and her great-great-grands. And their birthdays! (Almost 50!) And she was proud of every single one.
Margaret loved life. She enjoyed taking her children and then her grandchildren on road trips down south to West Virginia and Kentucky to visit family. And did so for many, many years. She enjoyed bingo nights and trips to Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. She loved embroidering and reading. When she was no longer able to read books, she found a new liking in listening to audiobooks. She loved and was always entertained by her family dog. She enjoyed company and just talking, especially sharing stories of her life and experiences.
Margaret was a truly remarkable Matriarch who is survived by many and will be deeply missed by all.

While each of us had a special relationship with my mother, there was were a couple grandchildren who had something unique with my mother. One of those was my niece Riley. She was with my mother 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Thank you, Riley, for the love and care you bestowed upon Ema each and every day that you were with her. There is nothing that can ever replace that and you made her feel loved, secure, valued and cherished. She knew she could always count on you and loved you so incredibly much. Your relationship with her will continue to live in your memories and bless you the rest of your life. It is something only you have and will be able to cherish. Thank you for everything you did for Ema.

There are too many memories to try to sum up a life as wonderful as my mother's. She was everything to everyone. She raised seven children and always managed to make each of us feel special. Somehow, she managed to carve out individual time for each of us as we were growing up. She was so involved in our lives. There wasn't a single extracurricular event that she missed. She loved hearing about the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She brought so much light into our lives. As we grew and became parents, she continued to play an important role in our lives. She gave the BEST advice, she was kind, caring and never judgmental. She was strong in many ways, but at the almost age of 90, her health diminished, but each time, she rallied and came back to us - except this very last time. She was tired and ready to join the Lord and her husband, her mother, her father and brothers in Heaven. Thank you, mom, for always loving us. We loved you back so, so very much. Thank you for your unwavering support. Thank you for the moral compass that you instilled in each of us. Your legacy will live on through each of us. You will forever be in our hearts and we will honor you each day through our words and actions. I will our almost daily conversations. Until we meet again, mom. I love. Mary
