Margaret (Maggie) Johnson LaMotte, born in May 3 1947, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep at the age of 78. She resided in Chili, New York, and passed away in Clifton Springs.

Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Friday, September 5, 2025 from Noon till 3pm at the Phelps American Legion 1346 Rt. 96 Phelps, NY 14532

It is requested that memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Rochester Chapter @ cff.org in memory of Zackary Briggs.

Margaret was born on May 3, 1947 in Mt. Clemons, Michigan the daughter of the late Frank(Bill) and Dorothy Johnson both formally of Phelps. Margaret had an adventurous spirit and loved playing euchre. She was also well-known for her dancing and passion for music. Throughout her life, she worked at various places, including Newark State School, Elston Electronic, and Manager at Public Storage.

Margaret is survived by her children: Christine (Robert) Salisbury of Winslow, Arizona; John (Yvette) Bice of Phelps, New York; and Katie (Bob) Gravante of Chili, New York. She was also the grandmother of Jennifer, Olivia, Jonathan, Khadijah, Kaitlin Nicholas, Julia and Samantha.

Great-grandmother of Elijah, Ethan, Rilee, Mikey, Talen, Luca, Layne, Adelina, Emilia, and Isla.

Brothers, Bill (Beverly) Johnson and Donald (Judy) Johnson

She was predeceased by her brother Scott Johnson. Grandson Zackary Briggs.
